On this 3rd day, the itinerary of the Muktinath Tour, we will wake up early to catch a flight to Jomsom. Then, we will drive first to the Pokhara Domestic Airport. When the plane takes off, you will witness the stunning sunrise shining over the ice-capped mountains of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna.

You will see the rugged mountains, deep valleys, traditional villages, terraced fields, and rivers through the window of your plane seat in a bird’s-eye view. The plane will fly over the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest gorge in the globe, which you will witness for the first time if you haven’t seen it before.

After twenty to twenty-five minutes of flight, we will arrive at Jomsom Airport. Jomsom is a famous spot for adventurous trekking, like the Upper Mustang Hike and Annapurna Circuit Hike. This place is influenced by the Tibetan and Nepali cultures, where you can see several traditional mud-brick houses and monasteries.

Jomsom is situated at 2743 meters altitude above sea level. So, you will feel powerful winds in the late afternoon. We will head towards Muktinath Temple tomorrow, a key highlight of this Nepal Pilgrimage Tour. As for the night, we will stay in a standard tourist hotel.

Today, we will finally visit the Muktinath Temple on the fourth day of an 8-day temple tour in Nepal. We’ll board a vehicle and go through Kagbeni to Muktinath. In Kagbeni, you can stumble upon monasteries and homes built in the traditional Tibetan style. The drive will take about one and a half hours to reach the temple.

After arriving at Muktinath Temple, you can also do a prayer ceremony (puja) and bathe in 108 sacred stone water spouts. Upon doing so, it is believed that cleansing in water will purify your soul. After worshipping at the temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, we can walk around the town and visit nearby monasteries.

Then we’ll depart Muktinath and head back to Jomsom. On our journey to Jomsom, we’ll also stop by Marpha Village. You can discover more about their distinct culture while strolling around the stone-paved streets.

Afterward, spending some time in Marpha Village, we will return to Jomsom in the late evening. We will find a comfortable hotel and stay for the night. You should go to bed early, as we need to catch an early flight for the Nepal Pilgrimage Tour on tomorrow’s itinerary.

On the fifth day of the Muktinath Tour, we will depart early for Jomsom Airport to save time and experience many of Pokhara’s attractions before returning to Kathmandu. After a picturesque flight of 20 to 25 minutes, we will arrive in Pokhara, the City of Lakes. Then we’ll return to the hotel for relaxation and a big breakfast.

After some time, we begin to tour the city. We’ll begin our excursion by seeing Phewa Lake, also known as Fewa Taal in Nepali. Enjoy a tranquil boat trip while witnessing Mount Machhapuchhre reflection on the sea. Then, we’ll head to Davis Falls, where you can view a cascade set among foliage. We’ll spend some time here taking images for memories.

After that, we’ll head to Gupteshwar Cave, which is across the road from Davis Falls. Finally, we will drive to the World Peace Pagoda to see panoramic views of Pokhara from afar.
