How does our trip start?
The Honeymoon Tour in Nepal starts with your arrival at Kathmandu. This is followed by a sightseeing tour around the Kathmandu valley. On the 3rd day of the itinerary, we will get to Nagarkot and spend the night there. The following day, we will drive back to Kathmandu, followed by a drive to Chitwan the next day.
Best seasons
The season of autumn (Sept to early Dec) is one of the best seasons for this tour since this period features clear skies and stunning Himalayan views. Since this is a post-monsoon period, the visibility of the air is at its peak. The scenes from Nagarkot, Sarangkot, and other viewpoints will really come alive, especially the scene of the Annapurna Himalayan range from Pokhara.
The daytime temperature in Kathmandu and Pokhara ranges from 20°C to 25°C, which is ideal for outdoor activities. The nighttime temperature remains a bit cooler, perfect for a romantic and cozy evening. However, it can be a bit too warm in Chitwan since it is located in the plain region of Nepal.
The other best season for this tour is spring (Late Feb to early May). The daytime temperature ranges from 18°C to 23°C, a cool period for outdoor explorations and activities. However, the lowland temperature ranges from 22°C to 28°C, which can be considered a bit hot. Spring is also the most lush time of the year since new leaves grow and flowers bloom all over Nepal.
In general, you should avoid doing the Nepal Honeymoon Tour in Winter and Monsoon seasons, since the cons outweigh the pros and you are highly likely to experience obstructed scenes.
Accommodation, Food and Drink
During your time in Kathmandu, we will have you stay at a 3-star hotel. You will be served breakfast every morning, complimentary with the Nepal Honeymoon Tour package. You are free to order any breakfast option from the menu. After we reach Nagarkot, we will check in at a hilltop resort overlooking the Kathmandu valley and offering scenes of a couple of Himalayas up north.
In Chitwan, we will spend our night at a jungle lodge or a normal 3-star hotel in Sauraha. While your nights in Pokhara will be spent at a romantic lakeside hotel overlooking Phewa Lake.
Your food options change according to the city you are currently in. While you are in Kathmandu, you will have plenty of chances to try out traditional Newari dishes including Bara, Samay Baji, Yomari, Juju Dhau, and more. Thakali lunch and dinner sets are also quite popular there. During your stay in Nagarkot, you will have the options of continental, traditional Nepali, and Indian dishes. In addition, you will also find a couple of Western options.
Chitwan offers a range of traditional Tharu meals along with grilled fish, while Pokhara is a cultural clash of many different types of cuisines. You can try Tibetan food, freshwater trout, western options, Korean food, Japanese dishes, and more.
Transportation
Our Honeymoon Tour in Nepal itinerary requires a lot of transportation. First of all, we will take you around Kathmandu for a sightseeing tour, second, you will drive to Nagarkot and back to Kathmandu the next day. Following that, we will drive to Chitwan, a 185-km long ride. After we are done there, we will drive to Pokhara, a 160-km ride. At the end of the tour, we will ride back to Kathmandu from Pokhara, covering over 200 km of distance.
In addition to all that, we will also pick you up from the airport and drop you off to conclude the tour. All of these transportation expenses are a part of the standard Nepal Honeymoon Tour package; you do not have to pay extra for these transportation unless you want to tip the driver.
Cost & Budget

Expenses such as daily accommodation, breakfasts, daily wages of the tour guide, transportation costs, local taxes, and more. The total price of the package will be adjusted accordingly if you wish to make some changes or upgrades.
Gadgets charging & Internet
Neither of these aspects will be an issue throughout the tour, but you might not get good network coverage inside the Chitwan National Park during your jungle safari experience. The same can be said for canoeing; network connectivity might not be that good in the middle of the river. At other times, you will get to enjoy reliable internet connections at every establishment we visit.
Your Extra expenses
Daily lunch and dinner, visa fees upon arrival, personal travel and medical insurance fees, international flight expenses, any kind of beverages, tips for the crew members, sightseeing entrance fees, and anything else not mentioned as part of the Nepal Honeymoon Tour package are your extra expenses.
Things to Remember Before Doing The Nepal Honeymoon Tour
- We recommend that visitors pack multi-climate clothes since the temperature changes drastically from city to city.
- Power banks can be really handy if you want to charge your devices while traveling.
- Carry enough cash to pay for your extra expenses throughout the journey. Most of the establishments accept VISA and Mastercard payments, but sometimes they might not work.
- Do not try your luck with unsafe and unfiltered water; there is no reward for this bravery, just high chances of you getting sick. The locals might drink water straight from the tap, but you are not used to that water quality.
- Respect the local culture, anywhere you go. Do not wear revealing clothes while visiting religious and ancient sites, and do not take pictures of Sadhu, Guru, and ancient sites without asking the tour guide.
Add-Ons
Upgrade Your Accommodation in Kathmandu
The standard accommodation arrangement in Kathmandu is a 3-star hotel. If you want to experience a high-end or luxury stay in Kathmandu, we can arrange it at a price. This will not be covered by your standard Nepal Honeymoon Tour package. A touch of luxury can really set the tone for your entire honeymoon tour.
You can choose any of the establishments within the city of Kathmandu, and we will have your reservations done. However, you must let us know about your upgrade preferences at the time of booking.
Inter-city flights
While road transportation is not the worst option, it is not the best either. Traveling by road to one city from another takes a long time in Nepal because of the below-average road conditions and never-ending turns all the way. Opting for flights will not only save you from the bumpy roads but also save you hours of travel time.
