These Gurung villages are very charming, with traditional houses and impressive culture. Bordering the Nar Phu Valley and the Madi Rural Municipality, Kori Himal Trek includes the Toni Hagen Trail. This trail is named after a Swiss geologist who was one of the first people to explore the northern highlands of Nepal. In the early 50s, he trekked from Pokhara to Sikles and all the way to Kori.

The population of those villages is on the sparse side, but at present, many seasonal inhabitants can be met during the peak trekking seasons.

Kori Himal Trek came into the limelight after the COVID-19 restrictions were lifted. At the time, people wanted to go on this trek as it was one of the least crowded trails, a great alternative to other trekking destinations within the Annapurna region.
