Usein kysytyt kysymykset (UKK)

You can wander around the world’s eighth-highest summit, Manaslu (8,163 m), and grace the Manaslu base camp and borderline the Buddhi Gandaki River valley on the eastern side of the Tibetan plateau. There are more teahouses and better facilities, making this trip more appealing.

You will lodge in teahouses with straightforward yet comfortable rooms, usually twin-sharing rooms without attached bathrooms. However, you cannot expect luxury options due to its remote location on this trek.

Travel insurance is essential, as it covers high-altitude hiking above 3000 meters up to 6000 meters, helicopter evacuation, and medical emergencies.

Although you are not certain to witness animals, you may spot a red panda, Himalayan tahr, or snow leopard. Trekking at the best season maximizes your chances of seeing the unique fauna and flora of the Manaslu Conservation Area.

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is more demanding than the Annapurna Circuit due to its higher elevation, off-beaten tracks, and minimal amenities. One of the challenging parts of this journey is reaching the Larkya La Pass more than crossing the Thorong La Pass on the Annapurna Circuit.
